The Rise, Envoy quest serves as the introductory tutorial in Soulframe. After awakening near a rock, following your Pact selection and Virtue point allocation, use the Guiding Sparrow ability to summon a bird that leads you to your objectives. You'll first encounter Revive Shrines, which activate upon approach and serve as respawn points.
Next, proceed to the Nightfold, a safe hub accessible outside of combat. Here, you'll meet Orengall, a sleeping white wolf that you can interact with. The Nightfold also allows you to swap weapons and upgrade Pacts, key mechanics for future challenges.
Once familiar with the Nightfold, return to the real world Alca to complete the tutorial and finish the Rise, Envoy quest. This is also where you can begin exploring the open world to discover and embark on other quests in Soulframe.
As you approach the premise of the Pensive's Tower, The Last Pensive quest will start, and your objective is to "Find He who haunts the Pensive Tower." At the tower grounds, you will encounter numerous enemies patrolling the area — defeat the enemies wielding scimitars and casting magic bolts to have an easier time exploring the area. You can group up the enemies patrolling the area and use attacks with a wide AoE to defeat them in one encounter, or you could sneak up on the enemies and take them out one by one.
After clearing the enemies outside the tower, you may explore the backside of the tower. On the right side of the wooden door at the front, you may stroll around the tower perimeter to find a broken wall that leads to a room beneath the tower containing multiple chests. You can loot items from the chests, such as 1x Sollos-I fragment. Exit the area, then turn left and you'll find a staircase that leads to an entrance to the tower.
Enter the tower from this side, then follow the spiral staircase leading up the tower. You will find the sparrow guide outside of a door in the middle of the staircase — open the door, and you will encounter the ghost haunting the Pensive's Tower. The ghost will show his inkwell missing its quill. Your quest objective will then show "Where lies the spectre's quill?"
Head out of the room, then follow the sparrow guide leading you outside of the tower. The sparrow guide will lead you to a grave with two enemies guarding the area. Defeat the enemies, then interact with the grave. A letter will open, which reads: Singer, In memory of the Last Pensive, who haunts this tower still. We reclaimed from Sinecure the spectre's stolen quill. Sigil. Close the letter, and you will obtain the Pensive Quill.
The quest objective will change to "Return the quill to its inkwell." Bring the Pensive Quill back to the Pensive's Tower, defeating the patrolling enemies you will come across with.
Go up the staircase again, enter the room, and the quest objective will change to "Join with Ancestor Orlick." Interact with the ghost, and he will reveal himself to be Orlick, an Ancestor. The quest will be completed, and Orlick will pass to Nightfold. He will serve as your scribe in Nightfold, and will give you access to the Codex.
This quest begins when you locate the Moonsteel Helm near Oro's Well, guarded by enemies. Focus on eliminating the ranged enemies first by using cover or abilities to close the distance, then deal with the melee attackers. After clearing the area, pick up the Moonsteel Helm from the ground.
Follow the sparrow to the next destination. Along the way, you'll encounter more enemies. It's important to note that while carrying the helm, your combat options are entirely restricted and you cannot attack or defend without dropping the helm. Drop the helm before engaging in combat with the enemies ahead. After clearing the enemies, deliver the helm to the run-down smithy and place it by the furnace, triggering a cutscene with Tuvalkane. Interact with her to complete the quest and relocate her to the Nightfold, where her station will now be accessible.
This quest becomes available after you've unlocked Orlick within the Nightfold. Once you return to Midrath, you'll trigger a short dialogue with him. After this interaction, this quest will become available.
Once the quest is activated, begin by following the guiding sparrow to the next objective. It will lead you to an area where enemies guard a creature imprisoned in a cage. Eliminate the three enemies here, prioritizing ranged attackers, and strike the cage to free the captive, Avakot. Once freed, Avakot introduces himself and hints about a hidden glade protected by magic. He offers more details for 80 Dracs, presenting dialogue options:
(Pay 80 Dracs)
I could crate you up again...
You rather the Ode have him?
I'm a little, uh, short...
Choosing the third option prompts Avakot to assign you a task, opening further dialogue options. Select "Bye" to conclude the conversation and receive an item from him.
Next, descend the well behind Avakot. Follow the sparrow through the dungeon, gathering loot from chests and clearing enemies along the way. Orlick will then appear, providing insight about the dungeon's history as The Undercity of Dermak, built by Fenn Jotar. As soon as you reach the first door that's slightly opened, interact with it to open the door. You'll then see two enemies patrolling in the area, the game will then prompt you to make use of the traps and throw your weapon to drop the trap down to the enemy. Use traps to eliminate them as the game suggests, then clear the area. Once you've cleared all the enemies, you can proceed.
As you progress through the dungeon, you'll find Avakot again. Continue exploring until the sparrow leads you to a chest containing the totem. Collect it and head back, where Orlick grants you the ability to use Spectral Light. You'll first be prompted to hold a button to reveal wandering souls. Then tap the button again to bond with that soul. You'll now have access to a flaming sword. Follow the sparrow to exit the dungeon. Here, your bonded soul, Fenn Jotar, separates and passes into the Nightfold.
Outside the cave, summon the sparrow, which will lead you to a statue. Interact with it to trigger a flute mini-game. Match the melody by timing the button presses correctly. Completing the mini-game reveals a path to the secret glades.
Upon arriving in the area, continue following the path ahead. You'll encounter multiple enemies as you progress through the area, so be careful. After clearing the enemies, follow the sparrow again and it should lead you to a small cave entrance. There's only one enemy here, defeat this enemy and proceed forward. As you press forward, you'll find a giant door and four stag statues in the area. Solve the puzzle by aligning the statues as follows:
Top left: Facing East
Top right: Facing West
Bottom left: Facing West
Bottom right: Facing South
Once you've aligned all the stag statues, the door will be unlocked, leading to the boss fight against Lady Deora and the Torment Stag. For this boss fight, you'll first have to deal with Lady Deora before fighting the Torment Stag. Please visit Lady Deora and the Torment Stag pages to learn more about how to beat them. Once you've successfully defeated both of them, the quest concludes, unlocking Garren Rood and additional rewards.
The Brewer of Hues quest begins with following your Guiding Sparrow uphill to a section of Sinecure that must be cleared of enemies. At a small camp, defeat four foes to proceed. Afterward, enter the rundown building behind the campfire, where you'll free a trapped rat, called a poppet, which will guide you further.
Follow the rat outside, but prepare for a sudden boss fight with Nimrod, triggered by a lightning strike. Defeat Nimrod and continue through the forest, where he will reappear intermittently before vanishing. Stay focused on the rat until you reach a dead end surrounded by rocks.
At the dead end, interact with a small statue on the right and play your instrument to reveal a hidden path. This path leads to Verminia, an ancestor who invites you to join her cause. Once aligned with Verminia, follow your Guiding Sparrow to a final showdown with Nimrod. Defeat him to complete the Brewer of Hues quest.
